Jill Rivers

The story of Nijinsky, the Polish/Russian dancer is a tale of brilliance and despair, of innocence and stardom, celebrity, sensitivity and tragedy, and amongst the saddest historical cases of artistic success versus mental health — yet Jill Rivers is convinced that Nijinsky was way ahead of his times — at the vanguard of Western Modernism in multiple art forms — movement, literature, and arts.
Jill Rivers is a New Zealand-born writer, producer, and cultural consultant with over forty years of experience making arts accessible, including roles as a journalist, Media Director of The Australian Ballet, dance board member, event producer, author, and creator of Melbourne’s Artspeak program.
