What inspires a writer? Jacinta Halloran, a Melbourne based GP, is the author of three very different books, each taking inspiration from various aspects of her life – work, family, travel, science and more.
Dissection (2008) was shortlisted for the Victorian Premier’s Literary Award for an Unpublished Manuscript, and her second, Pilgrimage (2012), was shortlisted for the Barbara Jefferis Award. Her latest novel The Science of Appearances is partly set in 1940s nearby Kyneton. She talks with literary agent Sheila Drummond.
